About MeMy hometown is Greensboro, NC. I attended Appalachian State University and North Carolina A&T State University. I received my bachelor's in Biology Education from North Carolina A&T State University; I also completed Graduate Work at NC A&T. I completed training and certification for Human Body Systems at Duke University; and Biomedical Innovations and Environmental Sustainability at the University of South Carolina. My two siblings (brother and sister) are also teachers. I have one son and two nephews. My favorite drink is chamomile tea, with extra sweet coffees topped with whipped cream as a close second. I enjoy sweets of all kinds: candy, ice cream, chocolate, and cookies. I like football (Carolina Panthers), college basketball (Duke) and soccer (women's Team USA). I have a Boxer named Britain anthody.

Biology is a course that is mandantory in all high school curriculums, all over the country. Its is an introduction to the study of life. In this class, we will stduy the physical, chemical, and cellular basis of life first. Then we will stufy DNA and Genetics, Followed by Evolution and Natural Selection, Taxonomy, and Ecology with Human Impact on the environment. Students will take the North Carolina End-of-Course (EOC) test for biology at the conclusion of the course. Successful completion of this course is required for graduation. The learning management system used for this class is Canvas. Assessments will primarily be given onlline, in Canvas and MasteryConnect. A school-issued Chromebook is required for this course. |
